This meeting is being held in conjunction with the Institution of Structural Engineers' Informal Study Group on Fire Engineering, and is the first to be held in London. It is therefore an opportunity for researchers to share views on recent developments and the state of the art with leading consultants. building control authorities and fire services.

The usual format is that a presentation should take about 20 minutes, with about 10 minutes for discussion, but this is extremely flexible. We welcome presentations reflecting the latest research, structural fire engineering practice including real case studies, and the very relevant perspectives of control authorities and fire fighters. Ideally we would like a balance of these viewpoints so that a real dialogue can take place.
